After having played quite a bit this week, and wearing ankle weights to class everyday, I think I burned myself out. Today I pretty much sucked on all songs… I think my legs are just sort of tired from playing everyday and the weights, so I’ll take tomorrow off.

Today I played for a whole hour. I probably could have gone for more, but I didn’t want to tire myself out too much. I’m getting better at the crossovers, which really helps out my score on Can’t Stop Fallin in Love Speed Mix (and other songs).

I’m beginning to think that I should really get a metal pad. I mean, I play pretty much every day, so I guess it would be a worthwhile investment. I’m going to try a few out and see which one I like. There’s a thing set up at my university where you can play DDR on a metal pad, so I’ll try that out tomorrow and see how it goes.

Today I started off with the ankle weights, which was probably a bad idea. My ankles got kind of sore and I wasn’t very good for the rest of the workout. I’ll probably just wear the weights around, but I won’t play DDR with them until I’m really used to them.

DDR Festival really doesn’t have that many good songs. I guess that’s why I don’t play it very often…

Today I wore the ankle weights to class. They weren’t too bad. After a while, I got used to them. People were probably wondering why I was taking so long on the stairs though…

Today I played without the weights for about 45 minutes, and then for about 5 minutes I played with them on. They do add a new level of difficulty, but I don’t think I’ll do entire workouts with them on. In other news, I think I did pretty good today. I could’ve gone for longer, but I decided to quit a little early. Maybe I’ll go for a full hour next time.

Notes:

Today I got some 2.5 lb ankle weights in the mail. I’m going to wear them whenever I go to class, and hopefully those will help me lose weight.

I also tried playing DDR Strike with the weights on. Although it’s harder, it’s not impossible to play. I’d actually consider wearing them for all my workouts, but for now, I’ll just wear them when walking.
